ANGELSQUEST #11 WW Week 8
This week went better! Talk about my "re-loss" after my two weeks of gains & I'm grateful for it and making some new goals for this coming week. Tell me, are you a night eater or snacker? What helps you not to snack at night? Prayer? Forcing yourself to bed? I gotta get this one under control. It does a real number on me! Looking forward to reporting another loss next week- hopefully bigger. I really want to stay going in the right direction! Thanks for your support!

Hi Angel,
ReplyDeleteI used to be a major snacker. Not just at night(although that was a problem) but all day long too. I'd get to meals and I wasn't hungry because of all my snacking but I'd eat anyway. What I started doing was replacing food with drink. I started out by drinking a glass of juice or crystal light whenever I was feeling snacky and eventually moved to water. It helped a lot because now I'm not snacking and I'm staying hydrated.

Yea Angel!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried chewing gum? I heard it curbs the appetite and the jaw movement tricks the body.
????
How is the gym/excercise going?
Pray you have a super week!
Love,
K
P.S. The back of your hair looks great! :o) Really cute hair cut!
Hey Angel,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the loss. A loss is a loss no matter what! I'm a snacker too, especially at night and truthfully I haven't really found the trick yet. Keeping myself busy works, but then I need to relax so that doesn't always work. I've tried not having certain things in the house, but will go out of my way to make something not healthy to eat as a snack.
Try to keep low fat/low calorie snacks on hand. That way you won't feel like you are denying yourself.
I have not found that chewing gum helps at all, but I already chew gum on a regular basis.
On another note...I LOVE YOUR HAIR!

I do the exact same thing! I have snacked really bad after dinner. All the way up until bedtime and then I'll wake up through out the night and eat some more!
ReplyDeleteI've been forcing myself to drink water instead of snacking and I've started to keep water by my bedside. So far it's been helping!
I've heard some people say that taking a Hoodia tablet 1/2 hour before dinner helps them a lot.

Hey Angel!
Congrats on the loss!
There is nothing wrong with snacking...I think it's what we snack on that matters. My son will grab a bag of baby carrots and eat the whole thing while watching TV and this is actually a GOOD thing!
As you know, while raw, you eat a lot of smaller meals because they are so low in calories. It's almost like you are eating all them time! (which used to drive me nuts). But eating small meals actually keeps your metabolism up and running...which in turn helps you to lose weight!
I am so happy to see you upbeat again.
Have you thought about doing raw all day except for your dinner meal with your family? I did this for several months in 2007 as I transitioned to raw and lost quite a bit of weight and felt pretty darn good too!
Something that my sister does (regarding night snacking) is brush and floss her teeth when she is done eating for the day. Then if she is tempted she has to make a choice...does she want the food bad enough to have to brush and floss all over again? It works!
Take care, Christine
